Places and times in 'The Return of the Moon Man'

This story was first published in Esquire - an American magazine famous for the short stories it publishes. The author is, in fact, Welsh and the story is set in rural Wales, at Pen-y-Craig Farm. It may be in the future - A.D.2500 - but the Welsh folk in this story certainly haven't changed much. The reader must be aware of the fact that the Electric is probably already at Pen-y-Craig. And there have been grandfather/grandmother jokes for a few thousand years.

A strong irony comes out of the pages of this short story due to the close connection between elements of the past and the future (the Electric for the first time in 2500 AD, tractors and space-ships, harvest and Time Machine, the Moon Man who wants to take the first train to Golders Green, etc.) as well as small spaces and wide spaces (the farm and the Moon)
